This advanced weapon form is introduced in stages, working basic exercises to strengthen the body and structure before moving on to the form itself. This works the Shaolin 50-50 footwork. To radiate power from the body down to the end of the pole is very difficult and takes a great deal of practice and skill. The students must work on stillness as well as accuracy. The pole must become one with the student.
